e-gnition Hamburg Formula Student Team of the Hamburg University of Technology e-gnition is made up of over 70 highly motivated students from the Technical University of Hamburg.

As part of Formula Student, an electric and autonomous race car has been developed, constructed and tested every year since 2011. At the end of the year, we compete against teams from all over the world in the Electric and Driverless classes. Formula Student is the largest engineering competition in the world. Around 800 teams with a total of over 40,000 members compete year after year to develop and design the best racing car. The competition promotes the interdisciplinary education of students. The challenges of the business world are also reflected in Formula Student, such as the presentation, marketing and cost analysis of the racing cars.

Okay, but can we talk about how FITTING these photos from our 2026 calendar in the months of July and August were? 🙏🏼

Our July Photo (swipe to see the second image) showed our trackdrive records at FSG 2025, and our August Photo shows the egn25 up close during its driverless run at FSG.

Last night, we wrapped up FSG | Formula Student Germany with phenomenal results in our overall Driverless performance.

We were even able to take to the stage at the Award Ceremony twice! Starting with a 1st place in the Trackdrive discipline as well as the WINNERS of the OVERALL DRIVERLESS CUP ⚡🏆

What an amazing final to our egn26 season!

Thanks to FSG | Formula Student Germany Kai for capturing the moments!

🙌🏻 VDE E-Race 2026 Recap 🙌🏻

The first pre-season event this month left us motivated and happy!
With lots of sleepless nights and hard work, the egn26 was able to present its capabilities.

How that went?
One finished Endurance later, we came in 1st Place Overall in the DriverMore category!

So proud and happy 💙💚

Thanks for an awesome Event, !

It's that time of the year again!

Our team is currently setting up at the VDE E-Race
This is an event we're always looking forward to, gaining meaningful experience and feedback for the international events, be it for scrutineering, statics or a drive-ready car.💡

Here are some insights from last year's E-Race which we attended with not one or two, but three egns! This year, we'll do the same. Stay tuned ⚡
