Last year, Speed took the title from us.

Last Saturday, FRK went to their house for the first time since that final… and left with two wins.

Development XV set the tone early with a 33–27 victory. A last minute try from William Kruse with a splendid chip kick closed the deal.

Right after, the 1st XV delivered one of the wildest matches in recent club history.

This one had everything.

Big hits. Rain. Momentum swings. Yellow cards. Injuries. Chaos. Belief.

At one point FRK led 18-27 with 15 minutes to play. Then suddenly… 32–27 to the Ama’ boys with only minutes left and every FRK supporter wondering how they were going to emotionally recover from this disaster.

But this group refused to die.

A last minute try from Caquineau.
A missed conversion.
A penalty from halfway.
One final defensive stand.

SRK 32 - 35 FRK.

Statement made.

The boys fought for each other for the full 80+ minutes. Emil Aagaard captained with heart before a serious injury forced him off early. The bench emptied itself into the battle. The sidelines were chaos. The club spirit was back.

And according to Facundo Bellone, the comeback was only possible because he told the lads to “play it like it was the last one” — a tactical innovation future generations will study carefully.

Massive respect to both squads. Two games. Two wins. Against our biggest rivals.

Also thoughts with Thomas Lelièvre after rupturing his Achilles in the Development match. Tough man. Tough luck. Wishing a prompt recovery to Viktor Kulberg’s shoulder as well.

The beers tasted better that night.
