🎉 6 YEARS OF JODA! 🎉
Tomorrow marks 6 years since Jodie Owen Dance Academy opened its doors… and honestly, I can hardly believe it! 🩰💗
Back in September 2020, I took a huge leap of faith and opened after school classes which then led to opening JODA with a dream of creating a dance school where children could learn, grow, build confidence and, most importantly, feel like they truly belong.
Six years later, I look back at everything JODA has become and feel incredibly proud. ❤️
Over the years we’ve had hundreds of classes, exams, competitions, shows, costumes, rehearsals, performances, laughter, tears, challenges and so many amazing memories. We’ve watched little dancers take their very first steps into the studio and grow into confident young dancers right in front of us.
And JODA wouldn’t be what it is without the incredible people who have been part of the journey.
A huge THANK YOU to every teacher who has taught at JODA over the past 6 years. Some have been with us for a short time and others for much longer, but every single one has brought something special to the school and has helped make a difference to our dancers. 🩷
Thank you for giving your time, sharing your knowledge, encouraging our students and helping me build JODA into the school it is today. I genuinely appreciate every one of you. 🫶🏼
And of course, thank you to every single JODA student and parent who has supported me, trusted me with your children and continued to believe in our little school. You are the reason I get to do what I love every single week.
There have definitely been difficult moments over the last 6 years, and plenty of times when I’ve wondered if I could keep everything going… but every time I walk into the studio and see the dancers doing what they love, I remember exactly why I started.
From one little dream in 2020 to 6 years of JODA… what a journey it has been. 🥹💗
Here’s to the memories we’ve made, the dancers we’ve watched grow and everything still to come. ✨
