“HAMMY”
One workout I look forward to and dread every year.
Hammy inspired everyone to push themselves beyond what they were capable of. Never let anyone quit and encourage you to set big goals.
He loved a hero workout and pulled people in to complete them with him. He didn’t believe in time caps either so you always had to finish it.
He’d be buzzing to have a workout published in his name on CrossFit .com
If you’ve got a spare hour (or two) this Saturday it would be unreal to see people complete this.
Looking forward to going back down home to 8020 Crossfit & Hyrox | NI’s Premier Training Facility this weekend in memory of one of my best mates 💪🏼

If you’re a “scaled” CrossFitter, every skill you want is on the other side of getting strong.
Not got pull ups?
Not got T2B?
Struggle with press ups?
You should probably do more bodybuilding and hypertrophy strength work.

Sorry mate, you’re not going to be great at weightlifting doing it for 20 minutes once a week.
I started weightlifting at 17 years old.
I did a sn**ch and clean & jerk 4-5x per week. Every week. Until I was 27.
I won’t do the math for you but that’s a s**t ton of repetitions.
Kind of like learning to ride a bike. You get on the bike everyday until you never forget how to ride a bike.
You don’t practice enough and you don’t put enough time into getting strong enough in the positions you need for the skill.

The 100kg Club.
When you commit to getting strong you can join it too.
Strength is the missing link to everything you want to achieve.

Caffeine and kilos?
I was going wrong with my caffeine intake for years and never fully got the benefits from it in training.
I tried more caffeine during but was always wired going to bed.
It’s one of the best tools we have to utilise in strength training so make sure you’re getting it in at the right time AND pairing it with carbs 🤟🏻
