Cove Youth > Cove Thistle 🟦

Cove Thistle are delighted to announce that 4 members of under 19s Cove Youth Football Club will join the squad later this month ahead of the 26/27 season

Over the last 3/4 seasons the team has been built around young players from Cove so it’s great to have four on board who have been training with the squad over the last year.

We look forward to welcoming Charlie, Michal, James and Theo to pre season in July

Full Time at Jim Glennie Park 🟦

AC Mill Inn 2 Cove Thistle 2

It was the late late show at Jim Glennie Park as the Jags fought from 2-0 behind to rescue a point against AC Mill Inn with the last kick of the ball.

The Jags started brightly with Calum Somers having an early chance that he should have put away… AC Mill inn controlled much of the first half with passing through the lines causing Matty into a few stops before AC Mill Inn made the breakthrough when the striker pushed the jags defender into the goalie to leave an empty net … 1-0

Moments later a rocket from the AC Mill Inn looped over Matty a stunning strike fair play 2-0 a lot of work to do again at Jim Glennie at HT

Into the second half the jags played some more football and kept the ball on the deck with the introduction of Jamesy up top.. without creating a hand full of chances it was more pressure on AC mill Inn into the last 15 Robbo played a goal across the face of goal which was tucked in by JB for goal number 47 of the season … the deserved golden boot winner… into the last 5 minutes the jags throwing the kitchen sink at the Jags including brilliant support from our players families in the corner vocals on point

A good effort from Mr Gareth Rooney was inches from goal and drawing level. Final corner of the match in the dying seconds a cross from Robbo was flicked on by lewis Wilson for Paul Donald to slot home and silence the rather lively home crowd … 2-2 FT

Great fight from the lads difficult when one side has everything to play for vs a team who had already secured promotion

Huge thanks to Brian Chris Gary and Neil and all the players for securing promotion back to the premier league and leading us to North of Scotland final- The players have also never given up and played a hell of a lot of football in the last 2-3 months superb effort from the squad 👏

To the Commitee members who continue to do the unnoticed work off the pitch a huge pat on the back too for all the work that goes unnoticed👏👏
