If you are at a loose end this weekend, then why not join us at our screening of Don't Be Prey at The Birks Cinema Aberfeldy in aid of SAMH on Sunday at 2pm?

We'd love to see you there for this special screening of this inspiring film. The film isn't on any streaming platform in the UK so it's a great chance to see it.

We also have a Q&A session with Colleen Blair MBE who is also very inspiring with her swimming feats of endurance. The whole afternoon will make you want to head to the water straight away!

Buy your tickets here: https://tickets.birkscinema.co.uk/movie/dont-be-prey/
You can also buy tickets on the door but be assured of your place by buying in advance.

All proceeds will be going SAMH so everyone is a winner!

A huge shout-out to our amazing Go Swim volunteers! 🙌

From registration and helping swimmers find their way, to helping swimmers out of the water, giving out medals and making sure everything runs smoothly, our volunteers are at the heart of every Go Swim event.

It’s not just about keeping things ticking along, though. It’s the friendly faces, words of encouragement and warm welcomes that help make every swimmer feel part of the Go Swim family.

We simply couldn’t do it without you! Thank you for giving up your time, bringing your enthusiasm and helping make our events such a brilliant experience for everyone. 😍

We were delighted to hear from Orange after our Loch Lomond swim. Orange shared her story and these photos with us so we will hand over to her:

"Thank you for the support and inclusion [at Loch Lomond].

14 years I have looked at the start line, supported friends and strangers. I have also volunteered at the event. 14 years I have actively faced my water phobia to try to learn to swim.

To finally see the start line in a very different way was emotional.

I swam 250m in Loch Lomond!

With a huge thanks to 2 complete strangers who stepped up and volunteered to be my support swimmers after mine sadly needed to cancel last minute.

Huge thanks to all the staff and volunteers. The kayakers and lifeguards were amazing and went above and beyond to help.

I have never laughed so much in water."

We admire your determination Orange! It means a lot to us here at Go Swim to see EVERYBODY enjoying the water. We are so glad you conquered those fears and got to experience the joy of open water swimming.

Our water safety team - Borders Water Rescue Team - play a vital role at every Go Swim event, helping to ensure our swimmers can enjoy their experience safely and with confidence.

We couldn’t do it without their hard work, dedication and watchful eyes out on the water. They were such a great support to us especially at Loch Morlich when we had a difficult decision to make regarding the conditions and keeping everyone safe.

We look forward to working with them again next year, hopefully under better conditions!

Only 2 weeks to until our special event at the The Birks Cinema Aberfeldy in aid of SAMH!

We're looking forward to a special screening of Don't Be Prey, an incredible tale of human resilience, along with a Question and Answer Session from Colleen Blair MBE. Colleen was a fascinating speaker at one of our Evening of Adventures nights, with tales of long distance swims. Her most notable swim is that she is the only person to have swum the north Minch between the Isle of Lewis and the mainland, a remarkable 44km. Colleen has been inducted into the Marathon Swimming Hall of Fame so she can tell us more about all her adventures.

With all proceeds going to SAMH, it's a fantastic afternoon out in Aberfeldy on Sunday 8th November. so please join us and get your ticket today!

2026 was the first year of having SAMH as our charity partner. We've enjoyed working with them to raise awareness and funds for their mission - improving the mental health of Scotland.

We're absolutely delighted to announce that the overall fundraising total for our amazing swimmers is just under £16,000! 🥳

So a huge thank you to all those swimmers who have joined us, swimming on behalf of SAMH. We think you have done an amazing job with your swimming and your fundraising. 👏

2027 - it's coming up fast!

We are working hard on securing the dates for next year. However, we have to let you know that the swims may not necessarily fall on the same weekends as previous years. We are trying to secure suitable dates but some factors are beyond our control. Please do not make any travel or accommodation plans until we can announce the dates.

Thanks for bearing with us while we sort out the aftermath of the the cancellation at Go Swim Loch Morlich.

We are working through over 600 entries and making sure no-one gets missed. We'll be honest and say that the refunds are taking longer than expected because there were a lot of duplications and details that needed untangling.

We are almost finished all the refunds and once they are complete, we will send an email to everyone to confirm that they have been done. It takes up to 10 working days for the money to then be refunded through the system.

If you opted to defer your entry, we will send you an email to confirm next steps once the entries open for next year. It should be very soon!

Huge thanks to those of you who opted to waive your refund. We hope you will pardon the pun but it goes along way to keeping us afloat and being able to bring the best swim event in Scotland!

Hopefully we will be swimming in smoother waters soon ☺️
