🎃🏉❤️💛💚 FRIDAY NIGHT FRIGHTS AT SCOTSTOUN 💚💛❤️🏉🎃

Last night, 11 young players from Loch Lomond and Helensburgh RFC joined forces for the Halloween Community Rugby Festival ahead of Glasgow Warriors v Lions!

Our mixed P4/P5 squad took on teams made up entirely of P5s, showing fantastic determination, teamwork and spirit. 💪

🏟️ The highlight? Forming a Guard of Honour as the Glasgow Warriors ran onto the pitch! Even one of our P2’s managed to sneak in to the GOH lineup 🤫

💀🎨 A massive thank you to Sarah for the incredible matching Halloween face paint that brought our two clubs together in style!

11 youngsters, two clubs forming one team and memories that’ll last a lifetime! ❤️💛💚

❤️💛🏉 MORE THAN RUGBY. MORE THAN A CLUB.

Rugby is about so much more than tries, tackles and winning matches.

❤️ Building confidence.
💛 Making lifelong friendships.
❤️ Learning resilience.
💛 Finding somewhere to belong.

We’re launching MORE THAN RUGBY — a new series sharing real stories from our rugby families about the difference this sport makes beyond the pitch.

Because sometimes the biggest victories happen long after the final whistle. 🏉

Small moments. Big impact. That’s More Than Rugby. ❤️💛

🏉❤️💛 LLRFC TAKEOVER AT SCOTSTOUN! 💛❤️🏉

It was starting to look like a Loch Lomond takeover at Scotstoun today! 😂👀

An incredible 17 (two not pictured 😢) of our P4–P7 players headed along to the Glasgow Warriors Rugby Camp for a fantastic day of rugby, learning new skills and having fun! 💪🏉

And if that wasn’t enough… they were back out training with us tonight! 😂👏

Some of these kids have been playing rugby since 9am this morning, and somehow they STILL had the energy and enthusiasm to turn up for another session this evening!

If that doesn’t show just how much these youngsters love their rugby, we don’t know what does! ❤️💛

It’s absolutely brilliant to see so much passion, commitment and enthusiasm amongst our Minis. They’re building friendships, developing their skills and, most importantly, genuinely loving every minute of it.

A massive thank you to Glasgow Warriors for giving them such a fantastic experience today.

17 young Lochers. A full day of rugby. And still asking for more! 😂🔥

Couldn’t be prouder of this bunch! ❤️💛

🏆 KNOW SOMEONE WHO DESERVES RECOGNITION? 🏆

The VIVA Awards 2026 are now open, celebrating the incredible contribution volunteers make across West Dunbartonshire. ❤️💛

There are two categories particularly close to our hearts:

🏉 Young Volunteer in Sport
🏉 Adult Volunteer in Sport

Loch Lomond Rugby Club simply wouldn’t exist without volunteers.

From the coaches on the pitch and the people running our youth programmes, to those fundraising, maintaining our facilities, running events, serving behind the bar and doing countless jobs behind the scenes — so much of what happens at our club is because somebody has chosen to give up their own time.

So now we’re handing it over to you.

If there’s someone involved with Loch Lomond Rugby Club who you believe deserves a little recognition for what they do, nominate them for a VIVA Award. 🏆

📅 Nominations close 14th October 2026.

wdcvs.com/viva-awards/

They might never ask for recognition themselves — but that doesn’t mean they don’t deserve it. ❤️💛
