A disappointing set of results last week but a couple of performances of note with Callum Johnson (Danny Laister Mortgage Adviser) making it back to back 50s for the 2nds and Joe Denby took 4 wickets for the 1sts.

This week the 1sts host Oughtibridge match ball sponsored by Lynn Sylvester.

The 2nd team travel to Hallam.

On Sunday the Stingers host Pen*stone.

The 3rds then host Waverley.

The Sunday team travel to Shaw Lane to take on Barnsley Woolley.

We’re delighted to be hosting the ECB Junior T20 Semi-Finals Day TODAY, and it’s set to be a fantastic day of junior cricket! 🙌

Come down to the club, soak up the atmosphere and support some of the best young cricketers around as they battle it out for T20 glory! 🏆

This weekends fixtures ☀️🏏

The 1st team travel to Upper Haugh.

The 2nds host Millhouses match ball sponsored by Jason Meadows.

The 3rds travel to Bakewell to take on Sheffield Spartans.

On Sunday the Sunday team games has been cancelled due to our opponents conceding.

The Stingers have a double header with a morning game against Anston and an evening game against Wickersley.

The 1st Team keep the promotion race well and truly alive with a 31 run victory over Barnsley Woolley, and it seems the promotion hopes are far from buried just yet.

After winning the toss and choosing to bat we made a promising start at 80-1 before a collapse had us 135-9 before Joe Denby (VC Classics) played a match winning knock off 69 from 39 balls helped us up to 210.
Arslan Mir (Crown Garage & Bifold Network) then took 4 wickets and Haider Jahangir took 3 wickets including Barnsley’s overseas who was the key wicket.

The 2nd team lost to Hatfield after batting 1st we scored 181-7 from our 50 overs with Callum Johnson (Danial Laister Mortgage Adviser) holding the innings together with a well made 64 not out.
The chase was in the balance throughout the innings with Salmon Iqbal (Smash’N’Flip & The Potato Oven) taking 4 wickets with Hatfield reaching their target with 3 wickets remaining.

On Sunday, it was a defeat for the 3rds after being bowled out for 121 after poor start had us 35-5. Our two youngest players, Alex Kemp scored 37 and Ellis Evans, 17 not out gave us a chance.
Handsworth reached their target in just 18 overs as we claimed 6 wickets.

We are once again hosting the ECB Junior T20 Finals Day.

⛳️ A huge thank you from Elsecar Cricket Club! 💚

A couple of weeks ago, we held our Golf Day, and we just wanted to take a moment to say a massive thank you to everyone who took part and helped make it such a fantastic day.

It was great to see so many people enjoying themselves, having plenty of fun and, most importantly, helping us raise valuable funds for the cricket club. 🏏

The money raised makes a real difference and helps us continue to support all areas of the club, from our junior and women’s sections through to our senior teams.

Thank you to everyone who joined us, supported the event and helped make it such a success. We really hope you enjoyed the day as much as we did!

And… we’re already planning next year’s Golf Day! 👀⛳️
