A lovely ride in the English countryside on my Boardman 8.9e

Another step closer to completing London to Amsterdam by e-bike using a Boardman 8.9e with Fazua Ride 50 street motor. Took a three hour round trip to pick up a spare second hand battery for £300. Like new as only been used 7 times. The new price is £540 so a bargain. I now have three 250x Fazua batteries and need one more. In the Rocket mode which takes you up to the legal 15.5 mph I get 25 miles out of a battery so with four I will get 100 miles. Planning on cycling around 80 miles a day...really pleased with my purchase.

All done and dusted Basingstoke big wheel 54 charity bike ride with a few minor hiccups but all ended well! Someone removed the signage so we missed the left turn and did an extra 6 miles. Made a new cycling buddy but he hit gravel and ended up in a bush. Fortunately okay, put his chain back on and we set off. Whists riding I heared something fall out my bike. Ended up being the bolt for the crank. Recovered it but did not have a tool to put it back on. Managed to complete ride and bike mechanics refitted it for me. Ran out of battery 17 miles from the finish but was able to remove the battery and motor and cycle back.

Parent's booked a private course to train four young people to the national standards in cycle training.
