The Jack Rascals had bath day today, and let’s just say they were FAR less than impressed with us 😂🛁

The looks we got were something else… pretty sure we’ve been added to their naughty list 🤣 BUT they smell absolutely divine and are fluffier than ever🏆

So if your dog comes home telling you stories about the crazy bath lady and her hairdryer, we can confirm the rumours are true 🤣❤️

Going forward, we’ll be asking for a deposit of the first night of your booking to secure your stay. ❤️

We really don’t want any of our lovely regulars to take this the wrong way. We absolutely trust you and appreciate you all so much!

We’re just finding that, as a small little establishment with limited spaces, we’re getting more last-minute cancellations. This means we’re sometimes having to turn away people who really need a space, and then being left with an empty one at the last minute. 🩷

So the deposit is simply your first night’s stay paid upfront to secure your booking. 🐶

In the meantime, enjoy the pic of Josh laying on the kids’ new bed. 😂 This really is the definition of finding yourself in the dog house! 😉

As you know, Lyss had surgery a couple of weeks ago and we’ve been watching her slowly get back to normal, although her slightly SpongeBob-esque face has given us plenty of entertainment along the way 😂

So imagine my surprise when I caught her out walking the dogs today… in her PJs and Crocs! 😂

I mean, to be fair, getting back out and about is a good sign, and the dogs certainly weren’t complaining about the outfit 🤣🐾

We have NOT been in the crate destroying the bed.

You’re seeing things. 👀

We simply chose to have a little lie down in here… and the bed just sort of… fell apart around us.

Blue came to stay with his own little medication routine, but it didn’t take long before he had us fully trained 😂

A proper golden gentleman who settled into home life beautifully and seemed very happy with the arrangement, walks, fuss, dinner, medication and repeat.

We know leaving a dog who needs regular medication can feel like an extra worry, so receiving these lovely words from Blue’s family meant a lot to us. He was an absolute pleasure to care for 💛🐾

Girls’ brunch this morning followed by hydrotherapy for our little Lacey, and just look at her go 🥹❤️

She’ll probably always have a slightly different little gait now, but considering where we started, watching her trot around like this makes me ridiculously happy.

Also, absolutely no offence to any of our lovely guest doggos, but she is obviously the best, most beautiful, slightly rotund little dog in the entire world. I don’t make the rules 😂❤️

If you’ve ever met a Vizsla, you’ll understand why they’re known as Velcro dogs. Where you go, they go and Norbit certainly took that responsibility seriously 😂

He’s one of those wonderfully unique baby creatures who wants to be involved in absolutely everything, preferably while attached to your side.

Safe to say, he made himself one of the family during his stay. Thank you to his lovely owners for trusting us with him, we’ll happily make room on the sofa for Norbit again 🧡🐾

Right, owners …. Time to fess up😂

When you collect your dog, would you rather see full body wiggles and a leap into your arms like you’ve been gone forever…OR… a quick hello before they turn around and think, “can I come back tomorrow for my friends” 😂

The best kind of compliment is a dog who’s had such a brilliant time they’re not ready to leave but perhaps not so brilliant when they don’t put on a “I miss you “ performance🐾

So, which would you prefer to see.. your dog racing into your arms or hanging around to see if they can squeeze another night in with us? 🐶🙈
