Huge congratulations to Emmie one of our Curtain Up students for receiving a Rose Bowl nomination for Best Actress in a Youth Musical. Emmie played the title role of Fran Ethelred in MissRed the Musical which I co-directed last year. A brand new musical written (& co-directed) by the brilliant Mel Lawman.
Great characterisation and beautifully sung. Congratulations Emmie 🎉🤞

As a director it’s an amazing feeling when your production gets nominated for Best Musical. I’m so immensely proud of this show, it was wonderful to work on every aspect of the show, the script, acting, movement, characters (and develop new ones). Extra icing on the cake that it also received nominations for choreography by Alison Price and the roles of Uncle Fester for Rob Helen Dallimore, Pugsley for Hannah Hannah Wood and Gomez for Geoff Sophie White.
Thank you Bath Light Operatic Group for trusting me with this one and congratulations to everyone involved on and off the stage it truly was the BEST MUSICAL 🎭🎶

Part of our weekly Theatre Club visits to the Theatre Royal Bath is for a student to write a review. This is their chance to say what they think of a production, to start to learn how to analyse live theatre and improve their critical thinking. This is the review of Tristan & Yseult presented by Emma Rice Company a really interesting read 👍🎭
