As we wrap up this incredible season, I couldn’t be prouder of what we’ve achieved together. Winning the league unbeaten, securing the league cup, and making it to three semifinals and two cup finals is a testament to the hard work, dedication, and resilience we’ve built over these two seasons.

What a sensational week for The Downs! To navigate three matches in six days is a massive physical challenge, but to come away with three wins and a trophy is simply WONDERFUL.

The marathon week started with high stakes on Friday. In a tense, tactical battle where neither side wanted to blink, the deadlock was finally broken in the closing 20 minutes. An own goal from Wells City, which proved to be the difference. Grinding out a 1-0 win in a cup final shows exactly the kind of grit this squad possesses.

𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐮𝐥𝐭: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐨𝐰𝐧𝐬 𝟒 – 𝟏 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐰 𝐌𝐚𝐠𝐧𝐚 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐫𝐯𝐞𝐬

Despite the quick turnaround, the lads showed great character on Tuesday. After falling behind to an early Cameron Haskins wonder strike, they didn't panic:

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐄𝐪𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐳𝐞𝐫: Kevin pulled the game level just before the break with a clinical finish.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐒𝐮𝐫𝐠𝐞: In the second half, the bench depth made the difference. Ed and Abdoulaye struck in quick succession to take control.

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐅𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐡𝐞𝐫: Tyrone came off the bench to put the icing on the cake, securing a dominant 4-1 victory.

Thursday’s game was clearly about more than just the scoreline—it was a test of resolve against a respected opponent.

𝐅𝐚𝐬𝐭 𝐒𝐭𝐚𝐫𝐭: Ish set the tone just five minutes in with a wonder strike that likely took the wind out of Pilton’s sails.
