We took the lead through Evan Rees on 25 minutes before Devan Davies made it 2-0 on the hour mark.

That makes it 2 wins from 2 in the league and a perfect start to the season. โšฝ๏ธ๐Ÿ”ฅ

A great result away from home and plenty for the team to be pleased with as we continue to build together.

It wasnโ€™t our best performance, with tough conditions making it a difficult afternoon, but the lads showed plenty of character to get over the line.

After going in 2โ€“2 at half time, Kian Oโ€™Sullivan popped up with the winner in the 80th minute to secure all three points.

After a slow start, the boys found their rhythm, racing into a 1-0 lead through Josh Russell with an intelligent run in behind.

Church Village levelled before half-time and then took a 2-1 lead early in the second half. But the boys responded brilliantly, with Josh Russell completing an unbelievable hat-trick to turn the game around! โšฝ๏ธโšฝ๏ธโšฝ๏ธ

Goals from Evan Rees and James Davies rounded off a fantastic performance and secured all 3 points in our first game of the season! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ’›

Cwm Welfare AFC Youth kick off their South Wales Youth League campaign this afternoon against Church Village FC Youth.

A new season also brings a new coaching team, with Christopher Copp, Ellis Williams, Ioan Fletcher and Jack Dibble taking charge. ๐Ÿ‘

A tough afternoon in difficult conditions, but the boys got the job done against a Rhydyfelin side who have already claimed some big scalps this season โ€” including putting 6 past an Ardal side last week. We knew it would be a tough test, and the lads delivered. ๐Ÿ‘Š

We took a 2โ€“0 lead through a brace from Shuaib Dorbani either side of half time, but three goals in the final 20 minutes saw Llanrumney United complete the comeback and take all three points.

After going 2-0 down, the boys showed unbelievable character to fight their way back into the game. Ginge pulled one back just after half-time with a tap in before Ioan Fletcher produced a brilliant finish to level things up! ๐Ÿ‘Š

With the game all square at full-time, it was down to penaltiesโ€ฆ and two heroic saves from Ceejay Jones were enough to seal the shootout victory and send the boys through to the next round! ๐Ÿงค๐Ÿ”ฅ
