2️⃣➕2️⃣🟰⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️
3 points on the road for the Ath as we retain our spot at the top of the table! 💪
This victory came from a strong first half performance and excellent game management in the second half. The boys were composed, solid and took their chances well 👏
Our first goal came from a Kris through ball, where Bradley showed brilliant composure to play in Alex who easily converted from close range. The hosts would then equalise with a big assist from the wind as a long ball would find its way into the top corner, giving Ted no chance 🙅♂️
We would then grab a second through a set piece that ricocheted in the box and Gian would pounce upon it for us to re take the lead. Alex wasn’t finished there however, as he would glide past the defence and slot home for a third. As to not be outdone, Gian also grabbed his brace as he fired past the keeper to put the cherry on top of a great first half performance 🍒
With the game all but done, the second half was a training session for the lads as they kept their shape and sat in as they allowed Sandy to have the ball and calmly dealt with the danger. In the final minutes however, the hosts would claim a cancellation goal through and that would be that 🤝
7 points from 3 games leaves us in a strong position going into the off week break. Now onto Caddington at home in October, Up The Ath! 🧡
