Congrats to Karen Hull and Stuart McCaughey who both came home from the Masters National Championships in Tipperary with a 🥈 each in the TT, with Ellis Allen just off the podium in 4th 🙌

Stuart and Ellis then headed down to Waterford for the Road Race on Sunday, with Ellis getting up the road before a mechanical ended his race, while Stuart finished in the bunch in a very competitive M40/45 race

🚲 NUTTS CORNER CRIT YOUTH RACES RESULTS, SPONSORED BY Scribe Cycling 🚲

Thanks again to Keith Crymble for running the show for all our youth races this year, and for this write-up on last night's final round 👇

An enthusiastic group of almost 30 kids took to the track for the third and last round of the Phoenix CC Crit series. We had lots of U8’s and U10s so took the decision to give each group their own race (mainly so the timekeepers could keep track of the positions!)

Under eight’s up first who flew round five laps of their loop, legs going like crazy! We had a sibling pair of wins with Sarah inspiring big brother Elliott to take his win in the seniors. Timothy flew away in the boys taking the win comfortably.

They were followed shortly behind by the under tens - with the addition of a couple of U8’s who’s chauffeur had got lost on the way. Saying that, Noah, one of those U8’s went on and took the U10 win after a good battle with Toby. Ava, up from Banbridge CC took the girls win.

The U12’s and U14s were away next, a smaller field for them then hoped as I think some others were resting their legs before the National Champs this weekend. The U12s were given a minute's lead before the U14s were unleashed to hunt them down on the slightly shortened course. Six laps and approximately fifteen minutes later the race ended up with Lewis (U12) taking the win after smartly taking Reuben’s (U14) wheel when he came past. Will (U14) took his race by taking the lead from the gun and not looking back.

As it was the last race of the year for the kids we had some drinks, crisps and sweets followed by medals on the podium. Thanks again to Phoenix CC for supporting youth racing in Ulster - as a parent of a young rider I know how much I and other parents appreciate having our kids being able to race in safe environments.

The Women’s Lap of Louth for Sarah Fagan 🚴‍♀️💨

Six Phoenix women took on the 90km Women’s Lap of Louth yesterday in honor of Sarah Fagan, and what a brilliant day out it was!

Ride Highlights:
* The First Half: Hilly, fast, and tough with a solid group pace to keep everyone on their toes.
* Pit Stop: A well-earned snack break to refuel the legs.
* The Second Half: Pure enjoyment! Fast, flat, and blessed with a glorious tailwind—plus, the rain held off completely.

Massive Thanks to the Event Team:
A huge shoutout to the amazing marshals. We knew the route every step of the way, and they handled traffic seamlessly so we felt completely safe and protected throughout the entire 90km.

Rider of the Day / MVP:
👑 Bernie! Absolutely flying, super strong on the pedals, and pure class fun to ride with all day.

An incredible event for a great cause—all six of us had the absolute best time, and we'll definitely be back next year! 💙💚
