๐ฃA gentle reminder to our running community.
We are very proud of the of the fantastic work being done by our Leaders in Running Fitness (LiRFs) across clubs and groups throughout Northern Ireland. Your enthusiasm and support help people enjoy running in a safe, welcoming environment.
As a reminder, the LiRF qualification is designed to support leaders in:
๐โโ๏ธOrganising and leading running sessions
๐โโ๏ธSupporting participation and enjoyment
๐โโ๏ธAssisting runners and coaches within a club and community setting
LiRFs are not licensed athletics coaches and should avoid advertising themselves as 'running coaches' or offering services beyond the scope of the qualification.
Those wishing to coach athletes, deliver structured training programmes, or advertise coaching services are encouraged to progress through the Athletics NI Coaching pathway, including Coach in Running Fitness (CiRF) or Athletics Coach qualification.
