Everyone connected to Bideford AFC were saddened to hear of the passing of John Henderson on the 15th September.
John had been a loyal supporter of our football club, since retiring to our town after living and working in S.E London as a Senior Works engineer.
John assisted the club in any way he could and travelled to many an away game often with Pete Holman, with whom he had struck a friendship with, and in fact it was Pete who informed the club of his sad passing.
John was also a keen Crystal Palace supporter, having lived not that far from Selhurst Park.
We send our condolences to his wife Mary (Maureen) and family members.
We will hold a minutes applause for John before tomorrow's match against Paulton Rovers.
