Club Statement:

Billericay Town Colts & Girls and Perry Street FC are delighted to announce plans to come together under the Billericay Town Club banner ahead of the 2027/28 season.

After working closely together, it has become clear that we share the same ambitions, values and passion for giving children the best possible football experience.

Why are we coming together?

• Shared pitches and facilities to improve playing environments.
• Shared committee resources, experience and expertise.
• A shared vision for inclusive football, where boys and girls of all ages and abilities can develop, make friends and enjoy being part of a club.

Our players are at the heart of this decision.

Together, we aim to create more opportunities to play, stronger development pathways and greater support for our coaches, managers and volunteers.

Both clubs have proud histories built by dedicated players, families and volunteers. We are committed to respecting that heritage as we build a stronger, more sustainable grassroots football community.

What happens next?

All teams will continue as normal for the remainder of the current season, ahead of the planned coming together for 2027/28. Further details will be shared as the process progresses.

This announcement relates to the youth and girls’ sections. Billericay Town’s men’s and women’s teams will continue to operate separately.

A huge thank you to everyone who has helped build both clubs into what they are today. We’re excited about what we can achieve together!

Two proud grassroots clubs. One shared vision. More opportunities for children to play football. ⚽

Guy Cleavely is one of our Perry Street Warriors, and his little sister Lois is also part of our Perry Street family.

Guy has been through an incredibly difficult battle with cancer, which sadly resulted in him having to undergo a below-the-knee amputation.

Despite everything he and his family have endured, Guy has shown incredible strength and courage throughout.

Now his dad, Warriors coach Paul, is taking on an incredible challenge of his own, running the London Marathon to raise money for Young Lives vs Cancer and support Guy’s fundraising page. 🏃‍♂️

As a club, we’d love to get behind Guy, Lois, Paul and the whole Cleavely family and help spread the word.

If you can spare anything, every donation will make a difference. And even if you can’t donate, sharing this post could help reach someone who can.

From everyone at Perry Street FC, we’re behind you all. 💙
