Moseley Oak RFC

We had 2 groups of lads out at two different golf days over the weekend both raising money for two great causes.

We had David, Joel, Cal and Akron attending the RFU Injured Players Foundation charity golf day at Edgbaston Golf Club helping to raise money for Injured players courtesy of JR kindly entering the team. The boys came in a respectable 4th out of 18 groups with Cal securing the Long drive. If only his chipping was as good as his driving that day 👀

Secondly, we had former Oak player Harry Dawson joined by Lav and Jack as well as Mark Lamborne from DC Capital Group who kindly entered the team in. The boys were helping to raise money for School Of Hard Knocks and came joint 1st, with Lav securing the individual 1st place overall. Rumour has it he’s been rather regular at Moseley Golf Club this summer and it’s paying off!

The Byrnes return. After a short stint at Eds, the boys return to their spiritual home at Moseley.

It's a welcome home for Harry Barnes, with a previous season for Moseley Oak in 2019/20 and multiple seasons under the belt for Birmingham Moseley. Not only that, 2 tours to Nashville in his armoury, with a hopeful hatrick of tours as Moseley Oak look to return to the US next summer.

Another hugely successful tour losing just one game (the first one - shock) and winning the rest.

We will be pushing out the tour content over the next week including a scavenger hunt for tour debutants, with a punishment for the loser. The winning item was erm, let’s say interesting.

As pre season training approaches, we're keen to bolster the squad for the new season! We have a tight knit squad with regular socials whilst sharing the superb facilities at Birmingham Moseley Rugby Club.

Our 1st XV will go into the highest level the club has operated at in Level 5, offering a strong challenge for aspiring players.

Our 2nd XV, will go into a proper league for the first time in many years now, entering the official league structure in Level 10.

The boys fly America in two days time and the majority of the squad met up to hand the kit out at Moseley and a well earnt beer after a modelling session.

Nashville - We go again.

We have an almost all MOAK squad this year, with debut tours from MOAK players Dylan Baggaley, Joel Keenan, Luke Penn and Matt Smith.

We welcome the return of Will Harris from who previously toured in 2024, as well as another tour debutant from in Leo Jowett.

We will be accompanied by the tour DoP, John Richards.
