Arun Indoor Bowling Club

Great game against Worthing Field Place today. First away fixture for Arun’s Summer season. We were well behind at half time tea but managed to get our act together after tea.
Unfortunately, we lost by 2 shots, a very enjoyable afternoon of bowling.
Well done to Nigel Reynolds and his team Viv and Jules winning top rink.
Looking forward to the return match at Arun.

Well done to our men’s Denny Plate team for getting through another round of the Denny Plate on Saturday.
Two teams playing at home and two teams playing away at Wealden.
Arun won comfortably with a 29 point lead overall, very well done chaps 😁.

Went off to Dolphin indoor bowls club in Dorset today for a county game Sussex v Dorset county.
Dorset took an early lead and before we knew it we were 22 shots behind.
Poor old rink 6 team for Sussex were being beaten big time.
However, Sussex came back at them to within 7 shots and suddenly there was hope.
Alas Sussex couldn’t keep it up and eventually Sussex lost by just 7 shots.
A great afternoon of bowls followed by a lovely dinner prepared by Jeff and his staff in the kitchen.
Looking forward to the return match that will be played next year at Arun.
