The U16 Vixens get underway today with a home fixture against Haywards Heath. Wishing you all a brilliant festival week.

This afternoon at home our Women’s 1XI face Bognor Regis Women’s Cricket in the Division 2 eliminator! The winner will go on to play Lewes Priory in the final. With the sun shining and the bar open there is no better place to be on a Sunday!

It’s been a productive season for Jaydon who passed 1000 runs for the club in his 100th game during the U15s festival week. And if that wasn’t enough he was back to the day job picking up 4-36 for the 1st XI yesterday in the Divison 5 match at home vs Wisborough Green. There seems to be not much he can’t do at the moment 🤩

Today’s league teams are out and since we are late posting today, we can confirm that all 3 teams are bowling first.

Congratulations Freddie, on your first fifty! It’s been coming for a long time now.

Freddie put in an innings-steadying performance at number 3, over in Bells Yew Green on Tuesday. He arrived at the crease with the team 37-1 and stayed all the way to 178-7, a highlight of which was an 85 run partnership with Jaydon (53*) for the 7th wicket. He finished on a brilliant 78.

Well done Freddie for digging in through a difficult middle part of the season and working through all that this sport throws at us, you thoroughly deserved this.

The rain has cleared over in Eastbourne so our U15s take to the pitch for their last game of the week. They’ve had a win and a loss so far, so they’re hoping to finish on a high.

This weekend also saw our women’s 1st XI crowned as league winners. Congratulations to everyone that has played and thanks to all those who have helped with coaching, scoring, umpiring or supporting. The format of the leagues means that they now have an eliminator against Bognor Regis CC at home on Sunday with the winner advancing to play Lewes Priory away on the 6th of September for the chance of promotion to the Premier League. But for now we hope the players are enjoying the achievement of winning the league before going again on Sunday 💪🏻

The loooooooong journey to Bells Yew Green is already underway for our U15s, who look to bounce back from yesterday’s defeat. Good luck team 🤞

In the game which saw our Women’s 1st XI win Division 2 Central, one player in particular had the innings of a lifetime at Slinfold CC, flying past her previous high score of 134 and achieving her first 150 at the age of just 15. 💥🏏

Congratulations Jess, on an incredible display of timing, power, maturity, resilience and determination; to achieve what is, quite simply, a mind blowing amount of runs! 🤯

The innings included a 123 run partnership with teammate Emily N, who is closing out the season in sharp form, both with bat and ball. Well done girls 🙌
