Absolutely amazing grit, determination and stoicism from Bev and Caroline at the Gowiththeflo Trifecta races in Staines today.

These two ladies are new to SUP racing but faced 3 tough races in one day - Sprints, Technical and Distance. No mean feat especially as the wind picked up.

Caroline won 3rd place overall in the isup category and Bev won 2nd place in the isup sprints.

Congratulations to you both!

So proud of these ladies who ‘carried on regardless’.

I had to cancel our planned Arne tour due to my current ban from being on the water (my hand and Teddys 🐈‍⬛ teeth came in to very close contact on Thursday 🙄) but Bev and Julia still met for a tour in Poole Harbour.

Sounds like they had a brilliant time with lovely weather and sea conditions.

Well done ladies. This is what it’s all about.

Two races coming up soon Gowiththeflo Trifecta (Sprints, Tech and Distance all in one day is going to be fun!) this weekend and the next weekend Waterborn Hub CIC SUP the Creek.

I’ve got a couple of ‘training courses’ in corners of Poole Harbour using the buoys and moorings to mark the area. Tough today with the wind direction - cross winds and headwind but barely any tailwind. That’s the great thing about training courses, you can use the conditions to build strength 💪.

ROUND and LONG ISLANDS TOUR

Saturday 26th September
9.30am from Lake Pier
(approx 3 hours including refreshment break)

Join us for a beautifully scenic tour from Lake Pier to Round and Long islands in Poole Harbour. A chance to see some of the wildlife of Arne.

Pfd and leash mandatory.

This is a mixed ability tour for paddlers who are up and standing with some confidence but not suitable for beginners.

Fabulous time on our tour from Knoll Beach to Old Harry Rocks this morning joining with Michelle and some of her paddlers from Paddle SUP Company. Always fun to collaborate with Michelle.

A fair wind but nothing the paddlers couldn’t handle 💪. Enjoyed a refreshment stop at Joe’s Cafe on South Beach on the return journey.

This iconic, scenic paddle never disappoints.
