The junior indoor cricket season started at the weekend, with Winton CC juniors having two games and recording two wins with some great performances from both teams!

🔴Our U9 team beat Wimborne CC U9s by 27 runs in a thrilling game. The team bowled and fielded superbly before hitting 170 runs in their innings with Alfie Woodall and Divit Borse blasting 44 runs between them and Divit ending up scoring a fantastic 33 over 12 balls.

⚫️Our U15 team then beat Lions Youth U15 Thunder team by an even closer 1 run! Winton posted a 129/3 off their 12 overs with Kathy Jose 25no and Jack Case getting his first half century of the indoor season with 54no. The team fielded spectacularly, bowled with discipline and kept on getting wickets meaning that Lions needed 18 to win off the last over. Kathy Jose took responsibility for the last over, kept her nerve and the team won by 1 run.

Great to have the season up and running and well done to both teams!🏏

Great fun and everyone really enjoyed it; the kids were trying super hard to get their parents out!
Simin Jarvis organised it really well so that parents and kids bowled at each other🏏

Adults 342, children 305, so a win for the grown ups....
