Many participants have started as complete beginners and progressed to recreational teams. Ozone U10 Club Tournament 🌟

Four teams got their pre-season underway as Swindon, Cardiff, Guildford and Streatham took to the ice 🏒

Guildford made an excellent start during the round-robin stage, producing some strong team performances and finishing top of the table with a perfect record.

The knockout stages followed, with Guildford facing Swindon in the semi-final, while Streatham played Cardiff in the 3rd/4th-place game. Guildford progressed to the final, where they met Cardiff and finished the day as tournament champions.

Knockout results:
Semi-final 1 — Guildford were winners over Swindon
Semi final 2 - Cardiff prevailed over Streatham
3/4 final - Streatham took the bronze over Swindon
Final - Guildford took the cup 🏆

A fantastic tournament for the U10s, with some great goals and saves but most importantly, it was a great opportunity for the teams to get back into competitive hockey, work together and start building momentum for the season ahead 💪

Firstly welcome to all of our new players and just importantly our returning players for the new season of the Ozone Elite Academy.

As we enter our fifth year of Elite I cant help but think of our alumni that have begun their Pro or overseas season. Having coached many of them again in the summer, there is an enormous amount pride in their achievements since leaving Ozone Elite. That pride is the inspiration for this year’s class of players. The training the players go through for the next 9 months is about learning through failure, mentally overcoming weaknesses in the game and the sheer will to improve. Ozone Elite is not about having the best players, its about having the best training that develops them into Elite players when they eventually go onto Pro or overseas.

So for those that are new, prepare to be pushed like you haven't been before and for those returning….well you know what's coming!

PEP teaches skills not drills. Players must make split-second decisions while navigating dynamic obstacles—just like in a real game. Multi-tasking Under Pressure: PEP forces players to handle the puck, read the play, and move with precision—all at once. Game-Transferable Skills: The circuits mimic real-game chaos, so players develop instincts that actually show up in matches.

The U16 Pre-Season Tournament was super intense from start to finish, with every team battling hard and every player giving their all on the ice.

There was some fantastic hockey throughout the day, with plenty of competitive games, big moments and great effort from everyone 💪

Congratulations to XLR8 Paul Wallace who took the win in the final against BC Dragons to lift the trophy! 🏆👏

A huge well done to all the players, coaches, officials and everyone who helped make it such a great tournament. The season is looking exciting already! 👊🏒
