It’s 2026, yet female foeticide remains an issue in parts of India and South Asia. The message behind our Giddha performance is just as relevant today as it was generations ago. 💔

The final moments of our Giddha performance at RONAK carried a message far more powerful than the music and dancing.

“Kukhan vich dheeyan ve addiyo maaran ton roko,
Dheeyan naal sajjde trinjan, bhalleyo loko.”

A reminder that daughters deserve to be born, loved, valued and celebrated.

Our ladies chose to end their performance with these powerful words because preserving our culture also means using our traditions to challenge the injustices that still exist within our communities.

RONAK 2026. Over 400 women. Five years of Club Ekta.

Some of you travelled from London, Manchester, Birmingham, Wolverhampton, Newcastle, Middlesbrough and beyond just to celebrate with us. That means more than we can put into words.

Thank you to every single person who came, performed, supported us, worked behind the scenes and made last night so special.
