Some moments remind me exactly why I love what I do 🫶🏼.

I had the privilege of pacing and supporting my client Kelly through the Bristol 10k - her longest and fastest run yet 🏅

When we first started working together, there was so much self-doubt. Kelly wasn’t sure if she could do it. But through consistency, showing up for herself, trusting the process, and putting in the work both in the gym and on the road, she achieved something she once thought was out of reach.

And the best part? Looking back on these photos, you can see the joy, determination, and pride written all over her face. Yes, it was hard work, but she did it and she’s incredibly proud of herself (as she should be!).

After the race, Kelly sent me the loveliest postcard that said:

“I would not have been able to run so far and be so consistent with the gym work if it wasn’t for your support. You’re one in a million.”

Honestly, messages like this mean the world to me. Seeing clients grow in confidence and realise they’re capable of so much more than they believed is why I do this.

So proud of you, Kelly 🙌🏼

Front Squat vs Back Squat – What’s the difference?

Front Front squats and back squats might look similar, but they train your body differently.

Front squats keep you more upright and challenge your quads, core, and upper back.

Back squats allow a slight forward lean, helping you load the glutes and hamstrings more.

Both are valuable—so including both in your training can help you build stronger, more balanced legs.

4 triggers that can cause hot flushes during menopause and what you can do about it 🫶🏼

🚬 Smoking - increases frequency and severity of hot flushes
🍷 Alcohol - increases hot flushes and appetite
☕️ Caffeine - stimulant that can increase symptoms
🌶️ Spicy food - can stimulate nerve endings, which dilates blood vessels
🍜 Eating late as this can affect - increased heat from digestion

Do
💧 Stay hydrated to keep your body cool
👚 Wear cotton (non-synthetic materials) & thinner layers
🪭 Use a fan or air conditioning unit
🩺 Consider speaking to your GP about your symptoms and consider alternative therapy like CBT and meditation and mindfulness.
