WHO DIS??? This is pollen… the silent, invisible pest that ruins our summer. 🌾
As the pollen count rises, many horses start to struggle with:
• Coughing
• Heavy breathing or heaves
• Head shaking
• Sneezing
• Increased respiratory irritation
Salt therapy may help support your horse’s respiratory health by helping to clear the airways, reduce mucus build-up, and support the opening of narrowed airways caused by inflammation — allowing them to breathe more freely and improve performance 🐴💙

Just because they’re retired… doesn’t mean they miss out 💛🐴
This is Scamp, he's 36 years old and has been with me for over 30 years.
He is a force of nature, riddled with sweet itch and COPD and walks through fencing for fun.
His weight management and care alone is a full-time job — diet, rugs, lotions and potions… pretty much 24/7.
And of course… regular salt therapy ✨
Because our golden oldies deserve to feel their best at every stage of life.
I’d LOVE to see yours 👇
Drop a photo of your golden oldie in the comments 🐴💛

Today has been one of the hottest days we’ve seen so far in 2026 ☀️
This kind of weather can often trigger respiratory flare-ups in horses, especially with increased pollen and dust in the air.
Salt therapy can help support your horse’s respiratory health by working deep within the airways. Inhaled salt naturally absorbs pollen particles and irritants, helping to clear and soothe the lungs.
Now is the perfect time to get your sessions booked in 🐴✨
Had the most handsome helpers yesterday, cleaning away like the clappers they were...... their admin skills need polishing though.
Would hire again 🤗

🌬️ Wind like this doesn’t just rattle the yard… it lifts dust, pollen & airborne particles 🤧🐴
If your horse is a bit off in their breathing, coughing more, or just not quite right — this weather could be why.
You already know how much salt therapy supports the airways… and days like this are exactly when they need that extra help 🤪💨
Keep an eye on them 💙

Breaking news from salt central… 🧂🐾
Last week I had a very distinguished canine client having a salt session. That very next day Percy's parents were treated to an impressive demonstration of professional-level snotting, followed by what I am now calling “post-salt zoomies.” (Not only performed by dogs but has the same impact on horses).
And this weekend? Percy Pig only went and won his class at his dog show. 🏆
I'm not saying salt therapy gives you championship potential… but I'm also not saying it doesn’t, the evidence is clear 😘😘

‼️Has your horse’s breathing changed recently? Did you wake up to a dusty car this morning? You’re not alone!
High winds have carried a plume of Saharan dust thousands of miles into Europe and the UK. This fine dust can temporarily increase the number of tiny particles in the air, which may affect air quality for a short time.
For our horses, just like for us, breathing clean air is important.
When airborne particles increase, it can sometimes aggravate respiratory conditions. Symptoms might include coughing, mild throat irritation, or slightly heavier breathing.
During periods like this you may find you need to temporarily adjust your horse’s management, for example:
• An extra puff on the inhaler
• Additional time with the nebuliser
• Or maybe a session with your favourite Salt Queen 👑
If your horse seems a little more sensitive to the dust at the moment, Salt Therapy can help support the airways and keep them breathing comfortably.
