🌿 New Nature-Based Activities – Come and Join Us! 🌿

We’re excited to introduce a range of relaxing and fun activities in our beautiful natural setting. Whether you’re looking for mindfulness, spending time outdoors, or time with our ponies, there’s something for everyone.

🌸 Mindful Nature (16+) – £8
Slow down and reconnect with nature through gentle woodland walks, nature awareness, and creative nature-based crafts.

🐴 Woodland Nature + Ponies – £15
Enjoy the best of both worlds:
• 40 minutes of nature-based activities in the woodland
• 20 minutes of horse-care and mindfulness time with some of our ponies (non-ridden)

🌳 Be Active in Nature – £8
Explore the woodland, play games, and get active outdoors.
Parents/carers should stay and join in with children aged 6 and under.

We especially loved how many riders gave dressage a go for the first time ever! ☺️ Beautiful riding from all and fabulous scores across the board - what an achievement for everyone!! We are so very proud of ALL our riders.

We run in-house, fun, encouraging competitions for our riders every school holiday - a great experience to have a go, and gain some competition experience when you don’t own your own horse! We have classes from total beginners on lead rein, right up to our more experienced Group 4 riders - so there really is something for everyone.

📆 Our next in-house ARC competition will be Clear Round show jumping (starting at 30cm!) on Friday 29th May.
👉🏻 We are also looking forward to our next RDA in-house dressage competition next Friday 17th April!
👉🏻 for riders with their own horses, we have monthly unaffiliated dressage (Oct-Apr) and unaffiliated SJ (year round) competitions, each on one Sunday a month: https://www.myridinglife.com/RemoteLocationEventList

The yard team made the most of a little bit of….sun?! (😮😂) with a lovely hack round our woods to finish the week! ☀️

It just so happened that this was also the first time we had ALL of our recent new herd members on a hack together! 🥳 We are so proud of them all and how well they have settled into Team Avon life here at the Centre, and cannot wait to continue seeing how their journey with us grows.

What a FABULOUS day we had on Wednesday, hosting UWE Riding Club’s British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) Home Competition for their 2s Squad! 🙌🏻

Super result with a Team 2nd 🥈 for UWE, plus an individual 4th 🏅 for Daisy!

We are SO incredibly proud of our horses and ponies who rose to the challenge brilliantly, and had the absolutely best time doing so!
They are just so special, to be versatile enough to do a walk only RDA session one day, then step up to this level the next day - superstars!

Storm, Toby, Cricket and Dora put their best hoof forward for the dressage phase, with Gracie, Hercules, Caya and Nell following on springs for the jump phase 🚀

The Team Avon Family had another wonderful day of dressage yesterday at The Avon Centre Unaffiliated Winter Dressage Series, with superb scores, the most wonderful positive atmosphere, and 10/10 encouragement from the whole team! ❤️

It was an absolute pleasure to be joined by our new friends at UWE Bristol Equestrian also, who got stuck in helping with anything and everything, cheering on , and also capturing some incredibly beautiful behind-the-scenes photos which really capture the amazing supportive atmosphere 🥰

UWE Equestrian 🤝🏻 The Avon Centre

We are absolutely thrilled to have recently started a new partnership with UWE Bristol Equestrian - as a training and competition base for their British Universities & Colleges Sport (BUCS) squads!

UWE Equestrian BUCS squad members have been busy training with us over the last couple of weeks, and getting to know some of our horses and ponies in preparation for their upcoming Home Competition next week 🙌🏻

It’s been a pleasure to see how beautifully they have ridden and connected with our horses already. Caya, Luna, Toby, Storm, Nell, Gracie & Samson have thoroughly enjoyed the sessions!

We are super excited about the future with Team UWE and Team Avon, and can’t wait to see what the horses and riders achieve together 💫
