Our Sam is a true fighter and an inspiration to us all. ❤️

Well done, Sam! We are all incredibly proud of you, your strength, your courage, and everything you have accomplished throughout this incredibly difficult journey. You have shown just how strong the human spirit can be, even when faced with the toughest of challenges.

You didn’t just face cancer, you fought it with everything you had and kicked cancers butt! 💪👏❤️

Keep shining, keep fighting, and keep inspiring everyone around you. We couldn’t be prouder of you! ❤️

🖤💛 Tough result for the Vixens today.
SWFC Vixens 1 - 5 HAFC Ladies

It was an even contest for the majority of the game, but the final 15 minutes proved difficult as injuries and fitness began to take their toll against a youthful opposition side.

Despite the result, every single player gave 100%, and we genuinely couldn’t fault the effort, commitment and determination from the team. Sometimes it’s just a little bump in the road, we pick ourselves up, regroup and go again next week. 💪⚽️

There were plenty of positives to take, including a clinical finish from returning Grace ⚽️👏 and two fantastic individual performances recognised by the coaching team.

🧤 Manager’s Vixen of the Match – Demi

Another fantastic shift between the sticks from Demi. She was quick off her line to deal with through balls, made some great saves and was always offering an option to play backwards and help the team release some pressure. A well-deserved Manager’s POTM! 👏

⭐ Players’ Vixen of the Match – Gem Jarvis

Another brilliant performance from Gem, who did an incredible job of keeping the opposition’s attack at bay and giving the team so much strength defensively.

Unfortunately, Gem had to come off with a quad injury, and most of the opposition’s goals came in the final 20 minutes. It really highlighted just how much of an impact Gem had while she was on the pitch and how much she strengthened the team. 💪

👏Well done, Vixens. We go again next week! 🖤💛

🌟 WEEKEND FUNDRAISING SPOTLIGHT 🌟

This weekend, two of our amazing Vixens are stepping up, pushing their limits, and raising funds for causes extraordinarily close to their hearts. We couldn't be prouder to share their stories and support their efforts.

🏃‍♀️ Hannah Bowker-Steer | Cheltenham Half Marathon

Hannah is tackling the Cheltenham Half Marathon this weekend alongside her partner in memory of her partner’s brother. They are running to raise crucial funds and awareness for Andy’s Man Club, an incredible charity dedicated to supporting men’s mental health and eliminating the stigma around speaking up.

🏊‍♀️ Sam Smith | Swim Serpentine (2-Mile Swim)

Sam is taking on the final leg of her "Triple No Ni**le Challenge"—a 2-mile swim in London’s Hyde Park!

After receiving treatment for blood cancer at age 19, Sam faced a high risk of breast cancer and chose to undergo a preventive double mastectomy last year. This weekend, she is swimming topless to raise awareness for CoppaFeel!, empowering young people to check their bodies, proving that having a different body doesn't hold you back, and reminding us all to embrace who we are with total confidence.

Big milestone alert! 🥳🎉

Huge Happy 16th Birthday to Evie, the very first of our U16 Sporting Weston Vixens players to hit the big 1-6! 🎂⚽️

Not only are we celebrating a birthday today, but we’re also marking a fantastic step forward for our club's future. She is set to become the very first player to step up through our player pathway and earn valuable senior minutes with the women's team! 📈🔥

She will be playing dual football across both our U16s and the Women’s squad this season as we gradually introduce our talented youth players to adult football, giving them the transition, confidence, and experience they need to thrive.

We are so proud of your hard work, dedication, and the standard you set for the younger Vixens coming up behind you. Enjoy your day! 💛🖤

🖤💛 MATCH REPORT

The Vixens went into the game full of confidence following last week’s win, but we started slowly and struggled to find our feet in the first half. The game was level at 1–1 at the break, with debutant Hannah getting on the scoresheet with her first goal for the Vixens.

After some encouraging words amongst the group at half-time, the team came out with a completely different mindset. We got the ball on the floor, played through the lines and started creating chance after chance.

The second half saw us score a further five goals, including a hat-trick from our on-fire Bianca, a goal from returning Maia, and another debut goal from Natalie! 🔥

A fantastic turnaround from the vixens, showing great character, teamwork and determination to put in a much-improved performance after the break.

⭐ MANAGERS’ VIXEN OF THE MATCH: MILLIE

Another solid performance from Millie, who has been an absolute rock at the back during her first season of adult football.

Strong in the tackle, full of composure with the ball at her feet, and consistently winning the ball back to get the team on the front foot. Millie put in a fantastic shift from start to finish and thoroughly deserved the award. 👏

🏆 TEAM’S VIXEN OF THE MATCH: BIANCA

Our team’s Player of the Match today goes to Bianca for another fantastic performance on the wing!

With amazing technical ability, confidence and awareness of the game, Bianca dominated the left wing and bagged herself her first hat-trick for the club! 🔥

A constant attacking threat, Bianca took on defenders, created opportunities for herself and her teammates, and put in an absolute shift from start to finish.

With five goals in two games, Bianca is proving to be a fantastic asset to the squad, and we can’t wait to see many more goals from her! 🖤💛

A brilliant team effort from the Vixens today. Well done, ladies!
