On a lovely sunny afternoon…first mixed friendly of the season

Bowls' Big Summer is just around the corner! If you would like to give lawn bowls a try, why not come along to our open day on Saturday 2nd May 10am - 4.45pm?

There will be plenty of experienced members on hand to explain how the game works and you can give it a go for yourself! No equipment needed, just wear flat shoes.

Presentation lunch …57 members (including few with partners)enjoyed a lovely meal….drinks… congratulations to all the winners 🏆🏆👏👏👏

It was the President (Dave) vs the Captain (Sue G)teams competing for “the President’Cup” …followed by a lovely spread of food and drinks…and the rain held off 👍😀…

Finals day at Canford Bowling club …a nice sunny day …. Results late afternoon and tomorrow…😀watch this space 😀… unfortunately Sunday’s heavy rain delayed few finals ….

Last Saturday, An enjoyable afternoon friendly match vs Henleaze…” the sun was shining” “a gentle wind blowing” and the Bowls “were rolling” on a rather “fast green” 😀👍

In round 2 of the Clarence Davey cup, the men's team were beaten by a very good St Anne's Park last night. However, things are looking up in the league after a good result Vs Long Ashton on Thursday saw them move up to third. Well done all!

Next league match for the ladies Monday 21st at home Vs Portishead A due to needing rearranging the game. Good luck!
