Another small business recently opened and I popped in today when they were offering all hot drinks for £1 this weekend !!
So I sat myself down, with my book and had a lovely Americano 😍
If you're around tomorrow, pop in and see them - very friendly,
It is a small venue, with some tables and chairs outside as well.
And they do takeaway if you're on a walk x
Plus they are dog friendly x
There are a few parking spaces outside but I parked on one of the side roads.
Opening hours : Weds to Sunday - 7:30am-3:30pm

One25 are a Bristol based charity supporting women who are street s*x-working. They help them move from crisis to independence and provide safe spaces for them to heal and thrive. Last year, the helped 43 women exit s*x working, which is amazing! x

Currently they have a need for trainers and leggings. Plus coats x They don't need to be new but they must be in good condition. Bring them to any of my classes and I will pop them over to the charity.
Thank you

Appeal from Julian Trust (shelter for the homeless) :
(if you have any of the following, you can bring them to the classes or drop off at Hanham Community Centre). I can them bring them to the shelter

PLEASE : ONLY donate the items mentioned below - thank you xx
📣 Clothes Needed - Can You Help? 📣
We’re really in need of some clothing donations at the moment, as our store cupboards are running very low on a few key items!
Right now we are especially desperate for:
• Men’s boxers (new)
• Joggers
• Hoodies
• Men’s coats
If you have any of these items in good condition that you’re able to donate, it would make a huge difference to the people we support at the shelter. As the weather is still cold at night, warm clothing is incredibly important.

Another local coffee shop has just opened up - this time in Cossham Street in Mangotsfield. Small and friendly and they do cakes, toasties, and in time, jacket potatoes - starting slow and steady. I had a taster of a homemade Staffordshire oatcake today, with cheese - very nice!! Less dense than bread and less calorific if you're watching those 😃. Only a couple of parking spaces outside but there is a car park across the road - some spaces free for 30 mins and then charges do apply. Plus, they have the bike shop next door where they do bicycle repairs and servicing!!! x

Brigstow Bike Café A café for Mangotsfield: coffee, cake & conversation at Brigstow. Dog-friendly, family-friendly, cyclist-friendly. Bike storage on site, plus spares, accessories & Brigstow’s own bikes.

Good news that this is in place for at least a few days whilst the temperatures drop xx
*SWEP activated in Bristol from 30/12/2025 until the morning of 02/01/2026*
Anyone who is currently sleeping rough will be able to access emergency shelter from today. When SWEP is activated, we advise everyone to phone the Outreach Team on 0117 4070330 to direct them to someone sleeping rough. We also ask that you support people sleeping rough to call the team, where possible.
Teams will be out on the street covering extra shifts during this period to offer shelter and support to anyone found rough sleeping.
A reminder that StreetLink is not an emergency service and if someone is in immediate danger, call 999.

For those of you who attend the classes, every year we run a bring and buy at most of the classes. You bring along new, unwanted gifts, we sell them at most of the classes at a really good price, and the money raised is donated to the local Foodbank in Kingswood. Today, I gave them £370 in cash, which is part of the £435 we have raised to date!!! They were extremely happy with that as it allows them to purchase items most needed. xx

PLUS, we currently have £118 for Greggs vouchers. That allows us to buy £5 Greggs cards to give to the homeless. This allows them the dignity of being able to choose their own food, and for people wary of giving out cash, you know it is being used in a good way.

Thank you for all your generosity and we are still accepting donations for Greggs and the bring and buy tables xx🥰🥰
