Joel Makin is through to the Third Round of the Quilter Cheviot British Open 2026 after defeating India's Veer Chotrani.

This evening, the -sponsored Welsh star and No.5 seed takes on Egypt's Aly Abou Eleinen for a place in the Quarter Finals of squash's most prestigious tournament.

With the later stages of the event being played at Birmingham's iconic Repertory Theatre, the stage is set for another huge match.

The prestigious Quilter Cheviot British Open 2026 continues today as the world’s best players battle it out in what is widely regarded as the “Wimbledon of ”. Hosted across the iconic Birmingham Repertory Theatre and Solihull Arden Club, the tournament remains one of the most historic and prestigious events on the PSA Squash Tour

Representing the is 5th seed Joel Makin, who takes on India’s Veer Chotrani in the Second Round as he begins his quest for British Open glory.

makin.94 arrives in Birmingham as the highest-seeded British player in the draw and one of the most consistent performers on Tour, with another strong run at one of squash’s Diamond-level events firmly in his sights.
