Congratulations to our under 17s on progressing through to the trophy final after a thrilling victory against Bristol CC last night.

A great batting performance by Faizan (36) and Harrison (41) allowed Downend to set a competitive 163.

It would be an even game throughout, Downend continued to pick up wickets - which were shared amongst the bowlers. But economic bowling by Connor (2 overs, 8 runs, 2 wickets), Faizan (4 overs, 20 runs, 2 wickets) and Harrison going for just 6 runs in his last 2 overs. Combined with some dedicated fielding meant Downend walked away with the win.

Congratulations to our very own Finn K who has been shortlisted for the GCF Young Cricket Collective champion.

Finn has been brilliant this year, helping out at all-stars as well as scoring and umpiring across the junior age groups and generally being an all round legend!

Good luck at the awards on Friday and thanks for all that you do to help and support at DCC!!
