Tipton Hall Riding School offers qualified horse riding tuition to children and adults either individually or in small groups, in our indoor arena. We have amazing countryside based in the heart of Herefordshire to hack through so unlike many other riding establishments you won’t get bored going around in circles in an arena. We like to make sure each client has a happy experience riding in a relaxed environment, so that learning is fun and progress is made. We do our best to match your ability to the pony and the group of riders that you are with, so that you progress to the next level but are also safe. Please always remember that horse riding is a risk sport, you may fall off and you may get hurt. During the school holidays we run the following courses:
•Pony care mornings
•Long rides
•Picnic rides
•Pony Club days and Camps
•Show jumping and Dressage training

We also can arrange birthday parties. If you are looking for an authentic countryside horse riding experience in Herefordshire or Worcestershire, contact us today

N.B Due to the fact that most of our clients are children we have limited large horses, hence a maximum weight limit of 13 stone/85kg applies.

New for November at Tipton Hall Riding School

We have three new groups joining the timetable, starting in November and running right through the winter.

Sunday at 12:30pm: a one hour hack for older children and adults, confident novice to advanced riders. Starts 1st November.

Tuesday at 5:30pm: in the indoor arena, for children and adults who are just cantering and ready to progress. Starts 3rd November.

Thursday at 2:00pm: a one hour adult hack, confident novice to advanced riders. Starts 5th November.

It’s that time of year again when you’ll be thinking of Christmas presents.

To help out, we are doing a riding clothing order very soon, ready for Christmas delivery.

Whether it’s coats, hoodies, woolly hats or riding leggings from LeMieux we have a great selection for you to choose from, all branded with the Tipton Hall logo.

Ask for an order form at the yard today to get your order ready.

Orders need to be in by 22nd November for Christmas delivery, and clothing must be paid for when you order.

For those riders coming to us tomorrow via Whitbourne, there is a huge tree down in the road just below Tedstone Court.
It’s unlikely to be cleared by the morning.

An alternative route is to go over Bromyard Downs and B4203.

First time in the saddle since the last Covid lockdown.

You’d imagine that being the owner of a riding school means riding every week. But since then we’ve built and welcomed guests to three log cabins , created an outdoor arena and expanded the riding school. Even though I’ve given up working as a radiographer, my spare time is still limited.

With a big birthday coming next month, I decided it was time to get back on before the body says no!

So yesterday, with the help of the wonderful Danny and .benbow_, I took the plunge and had a lunge lesson. What an amazing feeling to be back on board. And remarkably, it eased my back pain instantly.

They say the benefits of horse riding are amazing, and I’ve definitely proved it to myself.

Today’s beginner lesson with Roger.

Our beginner children’s riding lessons are open to riders aged 5 and up, and they’re all about having fun while learning something new. No experience needed, just a big smile and a sense of adventure.

Our friendly, BHS qualified coaches take things at each child’s pace.

Riding is brilliant exercise, it’s a great way to make friends, and it helps children overcome their fears, one small step at a time. 🌟

What we love most is watching their confidence grow. The nervous little face on week one soon becomes a proud grin, a straighter back and a child who can’t wait to tell everyone what they did with their pony today. 🥹

Fresh air, new friends, and memories made on the farm. 🌿
