School's Out for Summer... But What Comes Next?

Recently, I had the privilege of working with a young man who had dropped out of his course and completely lost his sense of direction.
His grandparents got in touch to see if I could help. Young people aren't my usual client group, but I loved every minute of working with him.
Over 10 hours together, we explored his values, interests, and strengths through a range of questionnaires, exercises, and conversations. We looked at what really mattered to him, what sparked his interest, and where his natural talents lay. Alongside this, we focused on rebuilding his confidence.
Then came a taster day in an area that had emerged from our work together.
That day changed everything.
He came away with clarity, renewed confidence, and a genuine sense of purpose about his next steps.
It's a reminder that direction doesn't always come from having everything figured out. Sometimes it starts with understanding yourself better, rebuilding confidence, and giving yourself permission to try something new.
