Time for the Women’s captain to take to the water in her W Int 1x, along side the Open int Coxless Quad!

BUCS Regatta – Saturday Crews!
We are bringing out our Beginner Coxed Four for their first event of the year, as well as our two Intermediate Open Single Sculls!

How could I forget about our coach Ifan Cox, who started their rowing career at our Host Club Llandaff Rowing Club, Silver Medalled at Brit Champs in 2022, Followed by rowing within the Welsh Rowing Home international Team. Then a year later was a part of Llandaff Rowing Clubs Junior Men’s 8+ that Qualified for Henley Royal Regatta in 2023.

Again massive thank you to Welsh Rowing ( ), Llandaff Rowing Club and Cardiff Rowing Centre for their continued support throughout this year!

Gloucester Spring Head
Last week saw 7 of our athletes race the 5km course! for a two people taking to the
water for their first water based event, another three being their second event. Showing
that the hard work spent on the Erg is working.
We saw that even though we’re a relative fresh start up, We are working hard and putting
our name back out there.
We managed to secure two podiums at this event with a second place in the Mixed
Coxless Quads, and a Third in the Open Doubles.

trailer and getting them there and back safely

BUCS Indoors

We attended BUCS indoors, with 9 of our athletes racing, with 7 of them being Beginners having only started rowing within the last 5/6 weeks. We also had a few athletes come down and show their support!

Our beginners entered the 1k and the 250m Sprint, with the two senior athletes entering the 2k. All members then joined forces to enter the 2k relay to finish out the day.

One of our Beginners was able to squeeze into a tightly packed field, and come home with a third place in the Women’s Beginner 1k, with one of our senior athletes coming home with another third place in the Open Championship 2k.

Everyone should be proud of what they have achieved over the past few weeks, and should look forward with hope, and seeing what can be achieved within the sport!
