Junior Club Championships 2026 ✅

Yesterday we had our Junior Club Championships to celebrate the end of another fantastic season.

All juniors took to the court in great spirits and put into action all that we’ve worked on. For the coaching team it’s fantastic to watch everyone having fun, trying their best and playing some great squash.

Special shoutout to Finley Gordon, Curtis Grainger, Charlie Armstrong, Archie Holmes and Louie Rowe who all won their categories!

Congratulations to our most improved players of the year - Louie Rowe, Nathan Smith and Charlie Armstrong.

And finally congratulations to our players of the year - Molly Pipes, Oliver Rowe and Oscar Rubacs.

Huge thanks to all our juniors who come week in week out, trying their hardest and making each session good fun. Parents we know it’s a big commitment from you too so thank you to all!

Lastly but the biggest thank you of all to our coaching team of Wayne, Josh, Niall, Finn and Miles. Every Saturday the team turn up and put on fantastic sessions for the kids keeping them engaged and our squash courts rammed with kids - thank you all!

Saturday coaching isn’t quite done yet, sessions will carry on until 1st August so see you all back to it next week!

Northern Cup 2026 ✅

On Sunday 8 of our juniors travelled to Manchester to represent Cumbria competing against other northern counties.

Oliver Rowe, George Wilson and Jayden Pate all took part in the under 11 team. With a 5th player missing they were up against it but the boys all came away with plenty of experience and thoroughly enjoyed the day.

Curtis Grainger, Tyler Pate, Flynn Sweeney, Bodhi McLean and Nathan Smith all took part in the under 13 team who after competing hard only went and took 1st place. What a fantastic achievement for the team and a brilliant day to show them all the hard work is paying off!

Yesterday a few of our players headed to Dumfries to take part in another match point event, with plenty of matches under there belts a few came away victorious-

Cumbria Racketball Championships 2026 ✅

A few weekends ago we hosted the Cumbria Racketball Championships where a new Champion was crowned.

This year we had a Squash contingent test themselves against the regular racketballers and it’s safe to say it made for an entertaining event.

James Cape although tested by Will Box in the semi final took the final in straight games against Wayne Kingston.

Dave Box beat Matty Pate to take the B category and Craig Drinkald beat Dave Miller to take the C event.

This event ends our 2025/2026 season and what a season it’s been. Planning is already under way for our 2026/2027 season and we will be doing a few summers events so keep your eyes peeled!

Cumbria county racketball championships 2026

This Saturday we host the county racketball championships which kicks off at 11am.

Will Box is the current Champion looking to retain his title but as you can see below the A event is looking very heavy this year and he will certainly have to work for it.

The action is on all day so please come down and support the players 💪🏻

What a weekend it’s been for our juniors….

Saturday saw Miles organise a junior event as part of his 6th form studies. The graded event was superbly organised and ran that efficiently it finished early. The kids did a brilliant job and so did Miles! Well done all!

Sunday saw some of our juniors travel to Pontefract to compete in the bronze event there. We had 2 winners with Jayden competing in his first event away and coming away under 9 boys Champion. Mia in only her second event competing away also won the under 9 girls event. Finley came away runner up in the boys under 17. Well done to all the other juniors competing, more experience gained and the work to improve continues 💪🏻
