A huge well done to all our swimmers who took part in the first round of the Arena League at Kendal yesterday! You all swam your socks off and finished in 5th place!

A massive thank you to our coaches, team managers and officials for giving up their time and supporting the team as always. Your help is hugely appreciated!

🥉 WORLD CHAMPIONSHIP BRONZE MEDAL! 🥉

So… this happened! 🤩🏆

Huge congratulations to Sam Turney, who is now a World Triathlon Championships Mixed Relay Bronze Medallist! 🌍🥉

Sam lined up alongside his three GBR teammates in the Mixed Relay, and what an incredible race it was! 🇬🇧

Sam absolutely smashed his leg, recording the 4th fastest leg of the entire race across all competitors! 🚀

Safe to say, he loved every minute of the experience and did himself, his family and everyone supporting him incredibly proud!

Sam would like to thank all the coaches for their continued support. Sam’s swimming has come on so much, and he produced the fastest swim leg in the relay, what an achievement! 🏊‍♂️👏

What a way to kick start the new competition season!

At the weekend, our swimmers travelled to Workington for the 17th Annual President’s Gala Open Meet and what a weekend it’s been!

Our swimmers have been absolutely brilliant, coming away with medals, PBs and, most importantly, plenty of smiles! 🥇🏅
They have been a real pleasure to watch, showing fantastic determination, team spirit and support for one another throughout the weekend. We couldn’t be prouder of every single one of you!

A big shout out to Will, Duncan, Aydenn, Leah, Ariana, Macie and Ruth for making the skins finals and having us all on the edge of our seats!

A huge thank you to our coaches, team managers and officials for their continued hard work, help and support. It’s very much appreciated! 🙌
And finally, a big thank you to our hosts Workington Swimming Club - WASC for a fantastic weekend! 🏊‍♀️

What an incredible achievement!

This Thursday, Sam Turney is in Pontevedra, Spain to take on the Sprint Triathlon World Championships in the U20 age group! 🇪🇸🏆
He’ll be taking on: 🏊‍♂️ 750m swim
🚴‍♂️ 20km bike
🏃‍♂️ 5km run
Months of training, hard work and dedication have all led to this moment and now it’s time to go and enjoy the experience!

An Afternoon of Learning at Carlisle Aquatics!

This afternoon, we welcomed our A & B Squad swimmers, parents, coaches and Masters swimmers for an incredibly informative session on sports nutrition and RED-S, delivered by Peter Germain and Vicki Trotter.

It was fantastic to see so many of our swimming community coming along and engaging with these really important topics. Peter and Vicki shared lots of valuable information and practical advice to help our swimmers better understand the importance of fuelling their bodies and looking after their health and wellbeing alongside their training. 🏊‍♀️🏊‍♂️

We hope everyone came away from the session with a better understanding of RED-S and sports nutrition, as well as some useful ideas that can be incorporated into their everyday routines.
A massive thank you to Peter and Vicki for giving up their time and sharing their knowledge with us. We really appreciate your support!

Carlisle Aquatics Masters Squad

Our members range from those retuning to swimming after many years away from the sport to experienced Masters competitors regularly racing at local, Regional, National or International championships.

We believe that swimming is for everyone. Whether you are chasing national qualifying times, training for triathlon or open water, looking to improve your fitness or simply wanting to enjoy being back in the water, there is a place for you. Everyone trains together following a session plan and our sessions are designed to help you build speed and endurance, increase your confidence in the water and working towards your personal goals.

If you are over 18, can swim front crawl confidently, cover at least 800m and are looking for a friendly club to join please contact us on [email protected]. You do not have to have raced to join us our aim is to help you along your swimming journey.
