Play your way to Wimbledon continued last weekend with the regional finals at a sweltering Redbridge, with WTC representatives in both the men's and ladies events.
Edd and Gary won one and lost one (on a tiebreak) playing some great stuff along the way....seen below enjoying a well deserved post comp beverage!
The Hoffman girls represented in the ladies, losing a 'thriller' on a tiebreak and another against Gidea Parks finest (perennial event winners).
Well done to both pairs.

This week we were delighted to host a couple of Hylands school matches (versus Sandon and Brentwood schools), with boys participating aged 12 to 15. Great to see the courts busy with juniors having fun and with some decent skills on show too.

Our annual Play your way to WIMBLEDON ladies event was completed in sweltering conditions on Sunday. Big congrats to Jo Turner and Sue Emery who won through to seal a dramatic 7-5 victory in the deciding match-up!
Sue and Jo arent able to make the next round at Redbridge so our runner-ups, Cat and Holly Hoffman, will be representing and battling to make it through to play on the grass at SW19!

Play your way to WIMBLEDON returned to Paradise Road this week. We had terrific conditions throughout which led to Edd Price and Gary Hall emerging victorious in the men's event, congrats to you both.
Edd and Gary will be going to Redbridge next month to represent WTC in the Regionals, just one step from the hallowed lawns of SW19 - good luck boys!

Another fantastic mornings pickleball at WTC today. The sun was shining throughout and the courts were nicely sheltered from the breeze, which made for perfect conditions for a fun session.
Pickleball at Writtle Tennis Club is open to all, we have a fixed session on Wednesday mornings from 10 - 12, let us know if you fancy coming along or would like more information.
