What we offer:
Opportunities to learn to produce young horses, s & b, learn to coach, umpire, play chukkas, how to work in a professional polo yard that incorporates liveries, a polo school, a professional player and a young horse programme.
We work hard, but we encourage learning, fun, and we operate as a team. Our clients are wonderful, and our ponies are the most important part of what we do. We are lucky to be based on-site in the glorious Bathurst estate.
We pay a decent wage, have purpose-built stables, well-fenced fields, exercise track or miles of parkland to ride in, tack rooms, farm car, gaiter 4x4, 7.5 tonne lorry, trailer, yard loo, warm dry caravan (with a fridge for your packed lunch) where you can rest or nap. You can go on fun rides, pop logs in the woods, hunting. We will consider year-round employment. We can plan for accommodation, and you don’t need to drive a lorry (unless you want to)!
You can make the job whatever you want, if we grow, you can grow! Come for a season, stay for a career, it’s up to you. We have fun and we want our team, horses and clients all to enjoy their time with us. The recruitment process will include a yard visit so you can meet us. The right attitude, integrity and ethics to work and enjoy your time at work are essential.

🐴 Senior Groom
Polo experience or must be a confident rider with racing, eventing, etc experience. Excellent wages for the right person.
Ride fit professionals ponies, all safe, but they are well fed and forward, leading 5 at a time, comfortable doing half chukkas, etc. The applicant will have help at polo from another groom.
5.5/6 day week. Rota’d days off/shift patterns for late evenings or early mornings
Understand and be able to meet all the welfare needs of our horses (feed, veterinary needs, exercise, tack, etc) and know when to tell someone there is a problem.
🐴 Junior Groom
Polo experience not needed, but must be confident riding and handling fit sport horses, and not phased by riding and leading more than 2/3 at a time
Be comfortable with periods of sole charge of some ponies
Be enthusiastic to learn about the sport and what that means for your job
Understand and be able to meet the welfare needs of our horses (feed, wound care, exercise, tack, etc) and know when to tell someone there is a problem.
