Our first team were under the lights at Washington Hub last night against Shotton Colliery Reserves.

The lads kept on top of their current form by producing a cracking 4-0 win with goals from Reece Robson, Tom Churchman, David Blythyn & Lennon Gamble.

We caught up with Anth after the game who was really pleased with the teams performance “the lads were top draw again tonight, let’s not be fooled by Shotton’s league position, they’ve had some cracking results lately so we knew tonight was all about staying disciplined. Shotton put us under pressure at times but again our backline and keeper stayed rigid and didn’t give them an inch. Another fantastic clean sheet.

We scored four brilliant goals and it could have been more, we made a lot of subs again tonight and every one of them made a positive impact. It was great to see Lennon Gamble and Kye Ibeh come of the bench and link up well for our fourth, it was a devastating delivery from Kye into the box and a superb header from Lennon”.

The win moves the lads up into second place and continues our run of good form in league and cup.
