Upton by Chester Ladies

Emily Walker has won her second Major Trophy in a week, the Mivan, played over 36 holes last Saturday, present here by Mags Swanson Lady Vice Captain.

A young player at Upton won the Bunny Cup, a Major, only those who have not previously won a Major can enter - well done Emily receiving the Cup from Captain Clive Finney.

Upton by Chester Ladies won the Percival Trophy last year, 30 years since they last won it!

Cracking total raised by 2022-2024 Captains at Upton by Chester Golf Club for the Hospice of the Good Shepherd.

A fantastic day yesterday, 14th March, as the new Lady Captain drove in, a good field of women played, and the weather was kind. We started by welcoming the new Lady Captain, Vanessa Coates with a ‘goon show’ seranade, and with ‘fizz’ before a shotgun start and followed the golf by a super light lunch, and a few more drinks in the clubhouse, with presentations for the winners. We had a couple of competitions and we raised over a £100 for the Captain’s charity, Cancer Research UK

Welcome to Upton by Chester Ladies - we are a friendly, but competitive group, we play golf throughout the week, but most competitions are on Tuesdays and at the week-ends, varying between Saturdays and Sundays, with lots of mixed golf as well. New members are made welcome, whether you have played golf before, want to try it out, or want to learn.
