Michael Owen has shared his thoughts on the modern game losing some of its imagination and it really strikes a chord with me personally...

โ€œBack then, Football had soul. Beckham bending it from 40 yards, Pirlo slowing time, Scholes seeing passes before they existed. Now itโ€™s press, run, recycle. Athletes everywhere, artists rare. Weโ€™ve upgraded engines & downgraded imagination.โ€ ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ—ฃ

Have to say I agree, I am not sure if it's just an aspect of getting older and everything seeming more magical as a kid, but the Premier League and football doesn't seem as special as it once did in the early 2000s. It's such a shame really as looking back on those times you see some of the most special football ever played, today's game is more boring and stale...

๐Ÿšจ๐ŸŽ™๏ธ | Fred on Erik ten Hag:

โ€œTactically, he was a VERY GOOD coach. But when talking with the players, he was extremely POOR.

โ€œHe would argue with EVERYONE. With me, with Cristiano, with Casemiro, and Rashford.

โ€œWith Ten Hag, it was his DUTCH players who got to play. But tactically, one of the best I worked with."

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Roy Keane speaking about the situation involving Cristiano Ronaldo and Jorge Jesus:

โ€œI think Cristiano Ronaldo should forget about the national team and focus on reaching the 1,000 goals milestone, Heโ€™s done everything for Portugal and they still disrespect himโ€
โ€œAll the trophies they have in their cabinet now is because Ronaldo made it possible, they should put some respect to his name.โ€

๐Ÿšจ๐Ÿ—ฃ๏ธ Jamie Carragher on Florian Wirtz:

โ€œI donโ€™t think the football public are being harsh AT ALL about Wirtz.

โ€œWhen you think of the stick Paul Pogba got at Manchester United, who didnโ€™t deliver but still got decent numbers at times.

โ€œBruno Fernandes was getting stick last week against City. He still created Unitedโ€™s two best chances, and heโ€™s just won the POTY yet was STILL getting criticism.

โ€œSo this idea that people or myself are being harsh on Wirtz.. no one has said a WORD. The controversial thing is to say heโ€™s playing well.โ€
