Spotlight On… St Ives Biathlon 🌊🏃‍♀️

One epic run. One wild swim. One very Cornish challenge.

The St Ives Biathlon combines some of SplashRobe’s dearest loves: sea swimming, Cornwall, community - and a celebratory pint and pasty when you’re over the finish line.

We first took part as competitors back in 2019, with a healthy amount of trepidation about the climb to the Huer’s Hut and some questionable levels of fitness! 😬

We quickly discovered the brilliant mix of people the Biathlon attracts - young and old, incredible athletes, enthusiastic amateurs and even a couple of St Ives’ most famous mermaids. 🧜‍♀️

For the past couple of years, we’ve been delighted to come back in a different capacity as sponsors.

Now in its 28th year, the Biathlon is the flagship fundraiser for St Ives Surf Life Saving Club, supporting its year-round work in water safety, lifesaving and developing the next generation through its junior and nipper programmes.

It’s competitive, exhilarating, slightly terrifying… and incredibly welcoming.

And that feels very SplashRobe.

The run. The sea. The wind. The nerves. The exhilaration. The wobbly legs. The pint. The pasty.

Sometimes the elements are something to overcome.

Sometimes they’re the best part.

We’re incredibly proud to support this brilliant event. See you on the harbour front! 💙
