Why prices matter 🐴❤️

Have you ever wondered why our lessons and activities are priced the way they are?

At Hunters Lodge Riding Centre, we’re not simply charging for the time you spend in the saddle. Your lesson is part of the cost of keeping, caring for and maintaining 28 horses and ponies so that they can continue to provide safe, enjoyable experiences for our riders.

Every one of those horses needs feeding, bedding, farrier care, dental checks, vaccinations, worming, veterinary treatment, equipment, rugs and daily care — and, most importantly, plenty of time and attention.

There are also the costs of maintaining the facilities, arenas, jumps, tack, licenses and everything else needed to keep a busy equestrian centre running safely.

So when you pay for a lesson, you’re helping us cover much more than the time you spend riding. You’re helping us keep 28 horses healthy, happy, fit and cared for, ready to give their best to our clients.

We we keep our prices as low as possible — any lower & something would have to give. Our priority will always be the welfare of our horses and providing a safe, high-quality experience for our riders.

We’re incredibly grateful to every client who supports us and understands that the price of a lesson reflects the true cost of running a responsible riding centre.

Busy day today for our annual
Licensing Vet Inspection
Thanks to all our amazing Staff, Volunteers & Stable Club Members who did a sterling job of presenting the horses & ponies. 🤩
All the four footed team members are showered & back out enjoying some leisure time having put their best hooves forward 🐴🧲

We rounded off the day with a brilliant BBQ to celebrate followed by misting showers for all the two footed team, and an hilarious water fight - no one was spared. 💦🔫

Enjoy the Eclipse 🌙 this evening and don’t forget about the shooting stars after midnight 💫

The Manhood open show is on Sunday August 16th and we love giving our students the chance to compete. Don’t worry - we can guide you on what to do & wear. ( we have clothing that can be borrowed for a small fee)
If you or your child wants to enter a class please speak to one of the team and they will advise what classes are suitable for you.
