We had a another fantastic Friday night Futsal session in Craigbane. It was Non stop action and was played to a high intensity.

We covered some skills practice and then focused on passing, moving to support and alot of shooting stations.

Charlie got more keeper training in and was excellent once again.

Great to welcome Darby to his first training session having got involved in our camps. He took to all the techniques and tactics straight away.

Well done to the girls Jessie and Georgie, they are showing great progress with Futsal.

Fantastic session once again from Charlie in the keeper training tonight and while at the Sion Futsal programme, He just keeps getting better. Great use of the fly keeper in both sessions also.

Jayden was consistent with saves and techniques during the session also.

Futsal goalkeeping is a thing of beauty just like out court play is. It takes alot to play in this position.

We had another fantastic night at the Sion Swifts Futsal programme, we had 2 45 min sessions and these were action packed.

We covered some skills, passing and receiving with the sole, recapped on scoop passing and the toe poke finish and the kids all demonstrated great techniques.

We progressed into 1vGk into 2v1 and 3v1 and the kids all understood these well, great speed and combo play.

The second group had a chance to play a full court match for the first time. This game was excellent with everything on show including the scoop pass and toe poke finishing. Skill of the night was by Mason, great 360 sole spin down the line after we covered this skill at the start of the session 👏.

Its great to see new faces tonight and everyone really enjoying Futsal.

Many thanks to Ollie and Charlie for their assistance in delivering the sessions.

Congratulations to our Ollie on his award for the IFA Grassroots young volunteer of the year.

He has committed alot of time to help coach and support players at our club but also through his work with other clubs. He has helped to coach at youth club Futsal programmes, volunteering to referee on schools Futsal programmes and as a timekeeper in NIFF league Futsal games.

His most recent volunteering is with his school football teams as a coach and a referee.
