Well, it’s been a long time since we’ve had rain like this morning! 🌧️ Hope everyone has managed to dry off!

We were a minute or two late getting started after Run Director Lesley had a little 8:45am realisation… the finish tokens were still at home!😅🏃‍♀️💨

Cue Lesley flying home, grabbing the tokens and returning in record time! ⚡️

And with that little bit of pre-parkrun drama sorted, 167 parkrunners and walkers were finally sent on their way. Despite the rain, mud and generally soggy conditions, everyone got stuck in and embraced it. We’re made of hard stuff in East Lancashire.

A big welcome to our 35 first timers 👋🏻 We hope you enjoyed your first visit to Hyndburn, especially the 4 of you who completed your very first parkrun! 🎉

Special mention to our photographer Chris Lockwood who volunteered for the 200th time today 👏 but a huge thanks, as always, to all our brilliant volunteers who stood out in that weather to make today happen. You’re all legends 🙏🏻
