*Saturday 15th August*
Please note due to lack of volunteers Saturdays (tomorrow) event is cancelled. This is a decision we have not taken lightly, however we cannot safely run the event without sufficient volunteers.

Hi guys!
We are urgently looking for volunteers for this Saturdays parkrun.
We currently need around a dozen people to help out with marshalling, scanning and someone to help our Run Director set up the event.

What happens if an event has no Timekeepers? Well, the event is cancelled - Timekeepers are a mandatory role to have at parkrun, like many of the other volunteer roles. For this Saturday, currently we don't have any Timekeepers (2 required), people to hand out finish tokens (2 required) and 9 marshal roles that need filling.

Volunteering is a great opportunity to still enjoy the parkrun atmosphere and give back to a completely FREE running event!

It is very easy to express an interest in volunteering - by email ([email protected] is our email), by commenting below or letting us know on a Saturday after your run to book up for future weeks!

We could do with 3 more marshals and a Timekeeper for Saturday 1st August - if anyone can help, please let us know! Thanks 😊

Despite being some of the most visual people on the course (in their bright pink hi-vis!), the work of our volunteers can often go under the radar. Summer time can be a particular time when we struggle to get volunteers as many of you all head off on holiday.

We really would encourage you all to check your diaries and consider a time when you could set aside a Saturday to volunteer - In Summer as a volunteer you have the added benefit of absorbing the warmth of the sun without getting excessively sweaty!

This week (for Saturday 1st August) we are looking for 10 marshals, 1 Pre Event Setup (without them no signs would go up in time), 1 Timekeeper, 1 barcode scanner and 1 for post event close down.
