In his stance
Must of fiddled with every bat 10 times

Emilio - ‘How much are they mate?’
Me - ‘they are £90 mate’

Emilio now looking down hearted and gutted

‘Ah ok - they are soo nice I’ll just have to ask my mum but we can’t afford them., I’ll come back later with my mum’

His Mum turns up a bit later with Emilio by her side - ‘hi there - my son hasn’t left me alone about these, how much are these bats?

‘They are £90 per bat’

‘Omg Emilio we can’t afford this, this is way out of our budget, we have no way to pay for it..’

Dead silence

Myself now realising how upset he is

‘Look young man there’s one way you can get one of these.. you can win it by being the leading run scorer of the tournament’

His face lit up

300 plus runs later!
