And that’s a wrap on a wonderful summer for our cricket club 🎉

We held our first annual presentation evening at the ground in Bretherton last night - a massive moment for us with more than 100 people attending.

A huge well done to all our award winners and to everybody involved with the club this year.

Special thanks to Anna and Phillip for the marquee, Naomi for serving up some brilliant food and to Chris Kirby for the music.

Tonight we’re holding our end of season presentation night at the ground on South Road 🎉

All are welcome to come along - doors open at 6pm with proceedings kicking off at 6:30pm. Food will be served for players and families.

We don’t stop when the season ends 👏🙌

Our Women & Girls winter nets start this coming Sunday, and we’re always looking for new players to come and give cricket a go.

Never played before? That’s absolutely fine. You don’t need any experience, just come along and have a go in a relaxed, friendly environment.

Whether you want to learn the game, get back into cricket or find a new way to keep active over winter, you’ll be very welcome.

It wasn’t to be today for our First X1, falling agonisingly short against Hoghton. But my word, another incredible individual performance..

Four wickets in four balls for our Frijo Francis, finishing with figures of 4-30. A first, we think, in the club’s history.

So before we get into this weekend’s games against Hoghton Cricket Club and White Coppice - a huge moment from last week..

An incredible innings from Charlie against Blackpool for our Sunday team - 111 in 66 balls, it was wonderful to watch.

Can we make it three in a row?

On Saturday, our First XI travel to Rufford Cricket Club for a crucial Palace Shield match.

As we enter the business end of the season, every match is important and after a good result last weekend, we're hoping to keep the winning form going.

Huge thanks to Jungle World Leyland - Play Park for sponsoring this week's match ball. If you've not taken the kids yet, we highly recommend booking something in for Summer!

The game starts at 1pm on Saturday and we'd love to see as many as you as possible make the trip.

It promises to be another cracker!
